Metal Type

Using my typeface I designed, “Dead by Dawn”, for my final project in typefacedesign2 had some letters waterjet cut out of 3/4″ aluminum by RCI waterjets to create the anagram phrases “The Devil is In The Details = It Hides Veiled in Stealth” and “Testament = Statement”. My aim was to create photographic art pieces using the letters. Lots of process photos showing the steps I had to take after I got the letters made and the final pieces.

Still in the box I got them in

After the first round of sanding (220 grit dry sand)
